Young visual artists from Culver City High School’s Academy of Visual & Performing Arts (AVPA) program, who are dual enrolled in West LA College’s Visual Arts classes, will present the first-of-its-kind art exhibition featuring their original work. SUICIDE PREVENTION TRAINING - Fri, May 27
An overview of suicide prevention. Participants learn about the nature of suicide, suicide related statistics, risk factors and signs, how stressors and mental health relate to suicide, and intervention strategies. Zoom link coming soon.

As many as 500,000 people have died from war and famine in the Tigray region of northern Ethiopia over the past 16 months, researchers say. The war began when Ethiopia sent its military into Tigray in an attempt to subdue the rebellious regional government in November, 2020.
