Helping Students "Go West. Go Far." Since 1974

Founded in 1969, West Los Angeles College has provided educational opportunities and pathways for thousands of deserving students to succeed in college and career.

A West education enriches students with the knowledge and skills needed to earn certificates and undergraduate degrees to transfer, build careers, and pursue life-long learning. With more than 18,000 students annually in college credit classes, West offers paths to university transfer, career education and courses for personal or professional growth.

Since 1974, the West Los Angeles College Foundation has supported, promoted and advanced these efforts by developing the resources necessary to offer the innovative programs and services enabling West to become an academic center of excellence, responsive and compassionate to the needs of the communities and region that it serves. The Foundation and its board strive to raise the funds and awareness necessary to ensure that availability and access to a West LA College education is open to all, regardless of financial circumstance, as well as support the endeavors of the College’s leaders and educators as they further build institutional capability and excellence.
