Six years have passed since the Lakota Sioux sought to protect their waters from the devastation of the Dakota Access Pipeline. What started as a prayer camp of water protectors became the largest act of global indigenous solidarity and a catalyst of for a generation seeking climate justice. Photographer Driely S. captures the land, the people and the energy of this moment. The series asks us to reflect on the recent past and a continued struggle by the ancestral caretakers of the land.
