Business Office services are currently provided by email and Live Chat via ConexEd.  Please click on one of the available cards below and log in using your CANVAS account or by creating a free, ConexED profile. Online services work best on Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browsers.

Payment Methods:

  1. Cash, cashiers check, and money orders are accepted at the Business Office.
  2. You may pay by credit, debit/ATM, and electronic checks on the web by logging into your account in the Student Information System.
  3. You may also mail your payment to:

Please send a Personal Check or Money Order (made payable to WLAC). DO NOT send cash. Print your student ID number and semester on your Personal Checks / Money Orders. A receipt will be mailed when payment is completed.

 

Important information regarding payment by check

When you provide a check as payment, you authorize us either to use the information from your check to make a one-time electronic fund transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check transaction. When we use information from your check to make an electronic funds transfer, funds may be withdrawn from your account as soon as the same day we receive your payment and you will not receive a cancelled check back from your financial institution.


Opt-Out of ASO:

ASO fees of $7 per semester ($3 for Summer and Winter Semesters) is automatically assessed to all enrolled students. However, students have the option to opt out thru their Student Portal before each semester begins. Once the semester begins, students may only opt-out of ASO thru the Business Office.

 

To Opt-out of ASO thru the Student Iinformation System:

  • Go to Finances Menu
  • Then click "Opt out of ASO" (see below)

Chancellor’s Office Tax Offset Program (COTOP)

The COTOP program is a method of collecting past due fees for the Los Angeles Community College District owed by former students. The West Los Angeles College Business Office reviews the accounts receivables and only submits those debts that are permitted to be collected through COTOP. Under the COTOP program, the Chancellor’s Office requests the Franchise Tax Board to offset (deduct) the amount owed to a district from the student/debtor’s personal state income tax refund, lottery winnings or other state refund.

Student accounts that have past due fees may be submitted to COTOP. This can include enrollment and associated fees incurred at West Los Angeles College. The West Los Angeles College Business Office will send out a letter to the last known address of a student, instructing the student that their past due fees may be sent to COTOP. The student then has 30 days to pay their fees in full.

Please be aware that this debt will NOT be submitted to any major credit agencies.

If a student’s past due fees are not pain in full in the 30 days after the letters are sent out, the past due fee information will be submitted to the State of California COTOP. Please note that a 25% charge is added to all outstanding fees processed through COTOP
