The Computer Science Club is divided into two tracks:

The Programming track is planning to Compete at HackCC. Hackathons provide:
- First-hand experience in creating applications on web and mobile devices.
- Learn and use languages like C++, Javascript, PHP, and HTML5/CSS.
- Networking opportunities.
- Some companies aggregate to and recruit for internships at Hackathons.
Even if you don’t want to make a project, Hackathons also provide workshops where you can learn programming languages, play with APIs, or hear advice from people in industry.
Again: no prior programming experience required.
ASO membership not required, but club needs minimum of 6 paid ASO members to be an official club. $7.50 ASO fee can be paid on the 2nd floor of SSB, Business Office. For more information, go to: ASO Website & Benefits

About: THE NATIONAL CYBER LEAGUE
The NCL was founded in May 2011 to provide an ongoing virtual training ground for collegiate students to develop, practice, and validate their cybersecurity skills using next-generation high-fidelity simulation environments.
One of the distinguishing factors of the NCL is the integration of learning objectives in all its activities. One of the main ways this is accomplished is by aligning customized content available in NCL Gymnasiums with simulations and games. This allows players to use the Gym environment to develop knowledge and skills and then demonstrate these newly acquired skills in competitive individual and team play. It also allows the NCL to measure player’s game performance and produce individualized reports (NCL Scouting Report) on strengths and weakness amongst various learning objectives and industry-recognized competencies.
Why the NCL?
Various cyber competitions exist. The NCL differentiates itself in the following ways:
- Providing year-round knowledge and skills development and validation
- Integrating learning objectives in all activities
- Validating skills
- Analyzing practice and game performance reporting
- Scaling the numbers of participants/teams and learning/game environments
Preview of HackCC
HackCC - the Nation's Annual Computer Programming Hackathon for Community College students - will take place from November 20th to 22th in Los Angeles, with more than 1000 attendees from more than 500 Community Colleges in the USA.
What is HackCC?
HackCC is a student competition that challenges students to code and build exciting - web, desktop, mobile apps, and hardware - projects within 36 hours. Teams of up to four people, create software or hardware submissions that are later judged by professionals in the tech industry. Projects are judged on creativity, technical difficulty, usefulness, and overall awesomeness.
What benefits do students get out of HackCC?
