SLO Workshops--October 22 and November 18 from 1-3 PM in the TLC
Attend two 2-hour SLO workshops facilitated by Dr. Lloyd S. Thomas. This workshop is designed to help you: 1. Plan your SLO portfolio of sample student work and complete all 7 parts of the template. 2. Align your assignment with a specific program outcome. 3. Include at least two active learning strategies to assure student participation—such as group discussions, student presentations, short strategic lecture breaks, 3/5 note cards for student feedback, pair-sharing, or other active learning activities. 4. Develop a specific and useful scoring guide or rating scale. 5. Organize your sample student papers from high to low. Please RSVP to Lloyd if you are interested. Workshops will take place on October 22 and November 18 in the TLC from 1-3PM. Chose either date.
