If you're bored, underpaid, or job
insecure, this certificate program in Medical Billing and Claims
Administration can make you a valued professional in the fast-growing health
care industry. Developed by professionals in the field, this program
consists of the eight classes listed here, totaling 56 hours of
instruction. It can be completed in about six months and applies to all
areas of medical billing. Attend a
FREE orientation session to
learn more about the field of Medical Billing and our program.
Participation in the Certificate Program
is not required. Courses may be taken individually, as long as you meet the
prerequisites. You may enroll in the Certificate Program by submitting a
non-refundable $25 Certificate Fee (course #110) before attending the ICD
Coding class. To receive a certificate, you must pass all the classes. Note,
this Certificate Fee will increase to $35 after March 29 and to $50 after
April 26, so it’s best to sign up by March 29.
Materials And Texts
Course materials and texts are NOT
included in the class fee. Material fees payable to the instructor are
noted in course descriptions. The ICD, CPT and HCPIC coding manuals can
be purchased online or in technical bookstores; expect to spend about $300 to $400 for these books which provide
up-to-date information and are used throughout the program. Purchase
of these manuals will be discussed at the orientation and in class.
Because on-campus food services can be
very limited, plan to bring a sack lunch for these all-day Saturday classes.
