Parking & Getting to Our Office
To reach our office, follow Freshman Drive until it makes a big
right-hand U-turn around the track/football field. Proceed past the P.E. complex on
your right. Just past the stop sign, there is a small staff parking lot in front of the
PEC South building (formerly Women's
Physical Education -- WPE). Our office is located in the lobby of the
PEC South building . We advise
against parking even temporarily in the staff parking lots—you may be ticketed.
We recommend that you park along Freshman Drive (obey all posted signs)
or use the metered parking (there is some on F Street along Lot 5) and walk to our offices in the WPE building.
Short-Term Parking (for
those coming to WLAC three or fewer times)
Temporary parking
passes will be issued to paid participants. We'll either hand it to you when you
register in person, or mail it with your receipt if you register by phone, mail or
fax. If you do not receive a temporary permit, please let us know and we will
do our best to get one to you. Place the permit on your dash,
facing outward. The permit is valid in Lot 5, 7, or 4A (by the track or
tennis courts). Note that Lot 8 is closed during construction of a new
parking structure. Westside Extension is not
responsible for any parking tickets you may receive for parking in a
student lot without a permit, even if we failed to offer or provide a
permit.
Long-Term Parking (for those
coming to WLAC four or more times)
Participants wishing to
park in WLAC student lots must purchase a parking permit in the Westside Extension Office
or request one when registering by telephone or fax. Parking permits are $5 each and
are valid for one semester. Place the permit on your dash, facing
outward. The permit is valid in Lot 5, 7, or 4A (by the track or tennis
courts). Note that Lot 8 is closed during construction of a new parking
structure. Westside Extension is not responsible
for any parking tickets you may receive for parking in a student lot
without a permit, even if we failed to offer or provide a
permit.
Free & Metered Parking
You may park for free on Freshman and Sophomore Drives,
on the perimeter of the WLAC campus, except for red curbs and areas
designated no parking. Parking is very limited during evenings and
Saturday mornings. Metered parking is available on parts of B, C and F
streets. The meters cost 25 cents per half hour, maximum four
hours.
