Step 2: Assessment 


ASSESSMENT helps you choose courses at the right level for you, making sure you don't end up with work that is to difficult or taking classes below your skill level.  Save time and money by testing into higher level  courses.

We offer Assessment testing at various times.  Review your skills in English or ESL and Math with sample tests and study resources in Module 5 Preparation of the West ExpressWay.  


  • Walk-In to SSB 420 to complete the Assessement during scheduled times, 8am, 10am, 1pm, & 3pm. Saturday hours vary, call to confirm. 


Have you taken an Assessment test at another College or University within the last 2 years?

If yes, fill out a Pre-requisite & Assessment Completion form and email to with the supporting documentation.

Who is exempt from the Assessment test?


Exemptions from the Assessment Process are available to students who have completed:

  • An Associate Degree or higher

  • The appropriate pre-requisite course with a grade of “C” or better as documented on an Official Transcript.

  • An Assessment test placement results (not to exceed two years) from any college from Los Angeles Community College District.
