JAPANESE 1 – ELEMENTARY JAPANESE I
General Information: 8 week class – starts 6/18/2007, ends 8/12/2007. Section 8531 requires students
to do part of their work online. This section will meet Saturdays from
8:00am-2:30pm in FA 209. Computers with Internet access are available
on the second floor of the Library in the Internet Research Lab, at no
cost to enrolled students.
Course Description: This course provides the fundamentals of the Japanese language with emphasis on communication skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing in Japanese. The Japanese syllabary for Hiragana, Katakana and basic Kanji are introduced. In addition, the course introduces the study of Japanese culture.
