New Student ID Numbers

Use your new ID number to login to all online courses. (Do not use your Social Security number!)

If you do not know your new student ID number, look it up on the LACCD Student Information System.

Make sure to carefully follow the login instructions for WLAC online courses.

The Los Angeles Community College District has created new student identification numbers to replace existing IDs which were based on social security numbers. A temporary ID card with your new ID number (a randomly-generated nine-digit number beginning with the prefix "88") was sent to you by mail. Federal legislation requires us to provide you with a new, permanent student ID card which you can pick up on campus.

While we may no longer use social security numbers for student IDs, social security numbers will still be used for limited purposes as required by state and federal regulations, such as financial aid, research, assessment, and transcripts. Students will no longer be identified by their social security numbers on rosters and most computer screens on campus.
