General Information:

This course takes place entirely online except for the following on campus requirements: A mandatory on-campus orientation on Friday 2/23/07 from 7 - 9 p.m. Visit http://www.onlineteaching.com/start.htm. Five required on-campus exams will be held on the following Fridays 3/2/07, 3/23/07, 4/20/07, 5/11/07, and 6/8/07 from 6 - 8 p.m. Review sessions are from 4:00 to 6:00 PM before each exam. All on-campus meetings will be held in B8 - Room 101.

The course begins on February 12.  You must access the course by February 20 or you will be dropped.

Course Description:

Prerequisite: Mathematics 115 or 118 with a grade of "C" or better or appropriate placement level demonstrated through math assessment process.

Manipulative skills in algebra are developed and strengthened in this course. The topics include rational exponents, the complete number system of algebra, algebraic and graphical solutions to linear and quadratic equations, logarithmic and exponential functions, elementary theory of equations and inequalities and conics.

Intermediate Algebra, 4th Ed, Martin-Gay, K Elayn. Prentice Hall, ISBN: 0-536-28098-3

Package must include My Math lab access code, textbook, video lecture DCs, student solution manual, and free access to the tutoring center.
