COMPUTER SCIENCE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY 980 – INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTER AND INFORMATION SECURITY I

This course introduces the basic concepts of computer security. Students will learn a full range of security concepts & techniques and apply them to the most popular operating systems used today. The topics include: Vulnerabilities and Attacks, Cryptographic Methods, Public Key Infrastructure, Certificate Management, Access Control and Authentication, Network Infrastructure Security and Security Policy. This course, combined with CS985 is designed to help candidates preparing to take CompTIA Security+ and MCSA Security Specialization certification exam.
