General Information:

This is a 5 Week session starting on 10/30/06, ending on 12/2/06.

This course takes place entirely online. No on-campus visits are required. 

The course begins on October 30.  You must access the course by November 3.

Students who do not email instructor by November 3 will be dropped.

 


Course Description:

This course is the second in a three-part series that offers a thorough introduction to the Internet and World Wide Web. This course provides students with the necessary skills to recognize, understand, and make best use of the many research and communication resources available online. Course topics include: evaluating online content for quality and relevance; Web browsers, Web pages and the WWW; using email; online search engines and search strategies. To gain the greatest benefit, students are encouraged to enroll in all three courses. 480C will be offered during the Winter session.


Required Materials:
