LIBRARY SCIENCE 101 – LIBRARY RESEARCH METHODS
General Information: This
course takes place entirely online. No on-campus visits are required.
Students who do not email instructor by September 8 will be dropped.
Course Description: Students will become familiar with the organization of the Library and the types of resources – both print and electronic – in the Library. Students will also learn to discriminate and select various types of resources in order to develop appropriate search strategies for research projects. Knowing which sources to use, and the most efficient ways of using them, will maximize the benefits of library research. Required Materials: Trimmer, Joseph F.
