ENGLISH 233 – AMERICAN-JEWISH LITERATURE
General Information: This
course takes place entirely online. No on-campus visits are required.
Students who do not email instructor by September 8 will be dropped.
Course Description: Students in this course will read and learn to analyze and write about fiction, poetry and drama that reflects the American Jewish cultural experience. The selected short stories, novel, poems and plays illustrate the following themes: tradition versus modernity, identity, assimilation, the American dream, creativity and art, the family, and love.
