CSIT 985 – INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTER AND INFORMATION SECURITY II

This course takes place entirely online. No on-campus visits are required.
Students who do not email instructor by September 8 will be dropped.
Course Description: Prerequisite: CS 965 and CS 980 or equivalent experience. This course introduces the concepts of information assurance. The topics include: Network and Application Hardening, Network Monitor, Auditing, Intrusion Detection, Remote Communication Security, Audit Policy, Group Policy, Internet Security, Web Security, E-mail Security and Operational Security. This course combined with CS980 is designed to help candidates preparing to take CompTIA Security+ and MCSA Security Specialization Certification Exam.
