CSIT 965 – INTRODUCTION TO MICROSOFT NETWORKS
General Information:
This course takes place entirely online. No on-campus visits are required.
Students who do not email instructor by September 8 will be dropped.
Course Description: Prerequisite: CS 901 (or CS 902) and CS 934 or equivalent experience. This course covers network hardware and protocols in A+ and Network+ certification exam. This course serves as a general introduction for students who need a foundation in current Microsoft networking technology, local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs). It covers network media, architecture, standards, protocols, and administrative tools in Windows 2000/3 environment. This is one of the required courses for WLAC’s Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) or the CISCO (CCNA) training program. Required Materials: Network+ multimedia training CDs with Course Simulation (Lecture), Lab Simulation and Exam Simulation.
