BUSINESS 1 – INTRODUCTION TO BUSINESS
General Information: This
course takes place entirely online. No on-campus visits are required.
Students who do not email instructor by September 8 will be dropped.
Course Description: This course is a survey of the fundamental aspects of all phases of business including entrepreneurship alternatives, management/leadership, marketing, financial management and institutions, investing through the securities market, and challenges facing global markets. Required Materials: Contemporary Business 2006 by Boone & Kurtz, Thomson-Southwestern publishers. Course Requirements: Four graded reviews, three case studies, and a final exam. It is suggested that students subscribe to a business periodical or newspaper such as Business Week throughout the semester. Grading Policy: Graded Reviews will count for 50% of final grade.
