Trouble Logging in?
  • Are you following the correct instructions for either Classic ETUDES or ETUDES-NG?
  • Are you logging into the correct course?
  • Has the semester started? You cannot access your course before the first day of the semester.
  • Are you actually enrolled in the class? Check with Admissions to be sure your enrollment is valid.
  • Are you in the system yet? If you registered today, you won't be entered into the system for at least 24 hours.

Having Computer or Browser Problems?

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or Netscape Navigator 6.0 or higher is recommended. No AOL "browsers."
  • Set your computer's cache properly. 99.9% of login problems are due to incorrect cache settings.
Setting the Cache Settings for Microsoft Internet Explorer:

1. Click on TOOLS
2. Click on Internet Options
3. Look for a button called "Settings" on the window that opens up
4. Check the radio box, "EVERY visit to the page"
5. Click on OK and OK again

It might be necessary to repeat the first two steps and click on the "delete files" button to clear the cache (temporary files).

Setting the Cache Settings for Netscape Navigator:

1. Click on Edit
2. Click on Preferences
3. Click on Advanced
4. Under Cache, select "EVERY time"

What the above settings do is call the most accurate/recent Web pages from the ETUDES server. Otherwise, your computer will revert to old "cached" versions of the page that exist in the temporary files on your computer's hard drive. This way, you will always be sure to access the most recent server files.
