to Online Teaching & Learning
This workshop is designed for those looking for an introduction to
the rapidly growing world of online education. The fundamentals of
online teaching and learning will be addressed, including the technical
tools and teaching skills required for success.

Introduction
to Podcasting Workshop
This introductory workshop is for faculty interested in learning more
about Podcasting in education. This is the first step towards creating
and distributing your own Podcasts here at WEST.
Friday, 5/9, 1pm - 2pm
Introduction
to Hybrid Courses Workshop
This workshop is designed for those interested in developing courses
that include both online and face-to-face components – the best of
both worlds. All Weekend College courses fall into this category.
Wednesday, 5/14, 1pm - 3pm
These
sessions are free of charge and count toward the District’s FLEX requirements.

EDUCATION
210: ETUDES-NG Instructor Certification - 2 Units
This course covers the basic tools and features of ETUDES-NG, the
online course management system used by West Los Angeles College and
many other colleges, including East Los Angeles College, Harbor College,
ITV, Los Angeles City College, Mission College, and Valley College.
Successful completion
of this course is required to teach online or hybrid classes. This
is a 2-unit, for-credit course that meets face-to-face two times a
week for three weeks. It is delivered in a hybrid format that includes
face-to-face sessions and online work.
If you are interested
in participating, please complete the Online
Application for Admission right away. Once you are admitted, you
may enroll online using the Student
Information System. Detailed instructions are posted here: http://www.wlac.edu/online/add.htm.
You may also complete the admission and
enrollment process at the WLAC Admissions office, building B-13.
