David Reed pulled in a pivotal touchdown pass that helped the win the '09 Sugar Bowl. Terrell Crawford and Aaron Grimes received university football scholarships.

Students will enjoy easier parking while the new lot will actually make the campus "greener" with its 300 kilowatt photovoltaic farm.

West students can now purchase a 6-month Metro Transit Pass for only $15 when they register for 12 or more units for the coming Spring semester.

Screenwriters and producers Evan Charnov, Chad Freehan, Eric Nelson and Peter Sullivan have joined the WLAC faculty. Their credits include "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Lords of Dogtown," network and cable series and film festival acclaim.

Fran Gatell, new Soccer Coach, comes to West from Santa Monica High School where his team went 29-0-1 on their way to the Southern State Regional Championship - CIF Division I in 2008. Branden Higa, new Volleyball Coach, comes from being an assistant coach to the the very successful team at Loyola Marymount University.

May 2, 2008 - Track Teams Take 1st & 3rd Place at Western States Conf Championship. The West Los Angeles College women’s track and field team won the 2008 Western States Conference Championships... Ebony Collins set a conference meet record in the 100m hurdles. West men finished third out of 13 teams with 119 points. The combined track and field title went to West LA College as well, a big turn around from last place a year ago...
