Familiarize yourself with significant ideas in
Judaism as well as Jewish art, music, and film.
Topics include Providence and free will, good
and evil.
Holocaust:
A Prototype of Genocide
(Jewish Studies 27)
Study feature films, documentaries, novels, poems,
and memoirs as you examine the seemingly inexplicable
phenomenon of the Holocaust.
Creative
Writing
(English 127)
Read Jewish texts as a source of ideas, and follow
guided writing exercises. Suitable for beginning
writers who need help getting started and experienced
writers with works in progress. Study Kabbalah
and the creative process.
All
courses are 3 units. Two courses are offered each
semester.
