Housing
West Los Angeles College does not presently have on-campus student housing. There are only several California community colleges with on-campus housing; they are all some distance north of Los Angeles. But, ample accommodation choices are available in the local community. Student housing is available in one of several ways:
- A homestay, with a family having a separate room (some with private bath facilities) to rent to a student.
This is the easiest to arrange. You can be secure and have people to support you until you know the community and decide if you wish to make a change and where you would like to live.
- A shared apartment, with another student.
It is difficult to make this arrangement until you have met other students.
- A single apartment, living alone.
It is very difficult to make this arrangement, at a distance, without a credit
record.
WLAC has information about organizations providing housing. WLAC and the LACCD neither endorse these services nor guarantees them. Students and/or their parents/sponsors should make thorough inquiries regarding services provided to ensure that they meet the needs of the student.
