West awards Associate Degrees and Job Skill Certificates. For many, West serves as an affordable gateway to prominent universities including UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Irvine, California State University Northridge, California State University Los Angeles, USC, Stanford, and many other California and U.S. universities.

 

West students meet with a counselor to develop a Student Education Plan. The Student Education Plan charts the path to transfer to a four-year university, to an Associate's Degree, or to a career certificate. 

 

UC Graduation Path: Completion of year 1 & 2 requirements at West, transfer at complete year 3 & 4 requirements at any of the 9 UC's. 

 

CSU Graduation Path: Completion of year 1 & 2 requirements at West, transfer to complete year 3 & 4 requirements at any of the 23 CSU's. 

 

Private University GraduationTransfer to private/independent colleges within and beyond California in a little as 1 year. 

 

Associates Degree Path: Completion of 60 units, typically in 2 years. Math/English classes required. 

 

Career Certificate Path: Completion in as little as 1 semester. 

 

All courses at West are taught by faculty, typically with a Masters Degree or Doctorate from notable universities around the country.

 

The college is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJ) of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) .
