West awards more than 600 degrees and certificates annually in 39 different fields. Many West graduates begin professional employment immediately after graduation in health care, law, early childhood education,avionics, business and technology.

Students interested in career training may pursue an Associate Degree, a Certificate of Completion, a Skill Certificate or take just a few classes.

Certificates of Achievement

West offers 16 different Certificates of Achievement.

A Certificate of Achievement is issued in state-approved programs designed for students who are looking for instruction with a high degree of specialization. Certificate programs vary in length, but must have 18 or more semester units, and may be pursued on a full-time or part-time basis. Certificate programs usually take one year to complete and prepare students for immediate employment.

Skill Certificates

West offers 34 different Skill Certificates.

A Skill Certificate is issued by the college for programs requiring 17 semester units or less and typically takes less than one year to complete. Students may seek increased job-related specialization, job advancement, or preparation for new employment.
