THE RECYCLE MANIA COMPETITION IS BACK! ...Let's kick some can!

Be sure to put all recyclables in designated receptacles.

A RECAP FROM LAST YEAR: Recycle Mania raised the stakes in 2007 as the number of participating colleges and universities more than doubled—a record 201 schools from across the country stepped up to compete!

...Keeping the dynasty alive, the West Coast made an impressive showing in the Corrugated Cardboard category. West LA Community College took home the title by recycling more than 50 pounds of cardboard per person, with the Cougars of Cal State San Marcos coming in second.

MARKETING NEWS . . .

Student Services and Recruitment are now using new promotional and informational materials with a complementary look and feel.

A cable and billboard campaign are now running. The Spring mini-schedule enhances the campaign, with a cover that coordinates with other advertising.

ASK YOUR STUDENTS: Please take a show or hands survey in your classes. Ask students to

1) Raise their hands if they've seen a WLAC ad or mailer in

     since November.

2) For those who saw an ad, raise their hands if the ad increased their

awareness of, or positive impression of the college

Email the result to Michelle Long-Coffee  longcofm@wlac.edu

In addition to a big thanks for your help, expect a gold star!
