NEW STUDENT EMAIL & SIS UPDATE

The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) launched a new central LACCD Student Information System (SIS) Portal. Every student at any of the nine campuses in the District, including West, will be able to log into all LACCD student systems, including the Office 365 email and OneDrive, using a single sign-on. Among the many advantages to our new portal is enhanced security for student records.

To begin this process, each student must update his/her email password to gain access to the systems which includes the email system and OneDrive account.

TO FIND OPEN CLASSES

Classes are still being added to the Spring schedule and there are still a few seats in Winter classes too.

To find open classes, go to the searchable schedule online. If the number in the ENROLLED column is less than the MAX SEATS column, there's a good chance that you can still enroll in the class. There are two such examples in the illustration above.

MORE NEWS

alumnusThe Dickinson Press recently profiled Football alumnus Tray Boone. After helping lead local Narbonne High School to its first city title he came to West where he split time at wide receiver and running back, totaling 1,600 yards of offense. From West, he caught the attention of Dickson State (N.D.). While at Dickinson, a play he made even made it into ESPN’s Top 10. Of his time there, Boone said, “It's peaceful. I like it…The chance to play football, that's great. But the chance to get my degree, to get this piece of paper that's going to really set my life in the direction I want to go; that's probably the best thing I'm getting out of this situation. That's what I wanted. I'm more than thankful for it."…see story at http://www.thedickinsonpress.com/sports/blue-hawks/4120602-long-road-glory-dsus-boone-chased-football-la-dickinson#.V-NdIiyewAI.facebook
