Speaker Dr. Martin completed her Ph.D. at the University of Manchester in collaboration with the Paterson Institute for Cancer Research where she studied the effects of again on the functions of intestinal stem cells.

Interested in what it's like to work in a research lab? Dr. Horwitz was a National Institutes of Health National Research Service Award Post-doctoral fellow from the National Cancer Institute in the Department of Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology at UCLA. He researched the dynamics of cell progression from a normal to a diseased state such as cancer or after the infection or injury. STUDENT SMARTPHONE / SMALL DEVICE
FILM CONTEST

West72 is a time-based film competition where students have 72 hours to make a 3-5 minute short movie using their smartphones, tablets, and smart devices. On the Launch date, students will be assigned a themed topic, a prop, a line of dialogue, and/or a sound effect, and will be given 72 hours to write, shoot, edit, and submit their short film online.  Films will be available for viewing online and screened at the premiere where awards will be announced ...learn more
