WEST NAMED AtD "LEADER COLLEGE"

Achieving the Dream recently announced that West was among the 19 institutions which earned Leader College distinction in 2015 a national designation awarded to community colleges that commit to improving student success and closing achievement gaps. 

Overall, West student Fall to Fall persistence rose from 63.2% for the Fall 2010 cohort to 68.4% for the Fall 2011 cohort to 69.5% for the Fall 2012 cohort and 65.1% for the Fall 2013 cohort. While the persistence rate declined slightly for the Fall 2013 cohort, it is higher than the Fall 2010 cohort. Additionally, the persistence rates for the Fall 2013 cohort of Hispanic, African American, Male, and Pell students increased from the Fall 2010 cohort
