THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED-------------------- SUDAN / DAFUR | speakers, film, music, art | 5:30pm .Enjoy an evening of information, art and music with a focus on Darfur/Sudan. Hear from refugees and other experts. Enjoy the art of Jameel Rasheed whose pieces have been displayed around the country and around the world. His work, “The Bushman” was chosen as the Human Rights Day poster for Amnesty International  and featured on Entertainment Tonight.  The evening ends with a concert by the renowned Bobby Matos – best known for “My Latin Soul” -- and his Afro-Latin Jazz Ensemble. Matos has been featured in jazz concerts around the world.  His discography is extensive and includes 5 critically acclaimed albums.

I would like to extend my thanks to everyone that participated in the survey for campus safety. The responses related to this subject are very useful. I have already implemented some changes in response to some of your concerns. My Captain and I will be hosting a Town Hall meeting on May 20th 2015 @ 5pm in the Student Services Building, Room 414. Athletic Field  

ATHLETIC FIELD & TRACK CLOSURES
updated Dec.7, 2011

The Athletic Field & Track are closed to walker / joggers Sunday 9:00am - 4:00pm (Simon Bolivar Soccer League) and week days from 1:00 - 3:00pm (WLAC Soccer Class). In January, the track is closed week days from 12:00 - 5:00pm (WLAC Track & Feild practice)

College and community organizations using the field may close the gates earlier than the times stated above to prepare for their events. Additionally, the events may run over their time slots.

Please check back regulary for updates to the Athletics Field & Track schedule.

The track opens at 6:30am and closes at dark. Personal trainers who charge their clients must rent time on the track or any other athletic facility. Use of the turf field requires a permit.

NAMED 2011 BEST PLACE TO WALK & JOG (Culver City News)
Walkers and joggers are also welcome to use the perimeter of the campus and College Blvd which connect the campus to Jefferson.
If your dog is with you, please keep him/her on a leash and scoop the poop. Thanks.
