The parking grace period is from Aug 26 - Sept 8. A day or semester parking permit ($20) is required to park in all WLAC lots for the rest of the semester. Purchase your permit online and receive it in the mail.

Lots A, 1 & 2 on the north side of campus will soon be open to employees and students.

CAMPUS SAFETY - ABOUT LOCK DOWN

This semester, WestWeek will provide brief things to know about how to respond in a campus emergency. This edition looks at Lock Down. Lock Down might be ordered in the event of an active shooter, riot or criminal investigation. In the event of an active shooter on campus, the best place to be is in a locked room. Barricade the door with desk, chairs, etc. Turn off the lights, stay away from windows, stay quiet, and use your phone to check for a text alert and/or information at www.WLAC.edu
If the assailant enters your room and you cannot flee, fight back.

Athletic Field  

ATHLETIC FIELD & TRACK CLOSURES
updated Dec.7, 2011

The Athletic Field & Track are closed to walker / joggers Sunday 9:00am - 4:00pm (Simon Bolivar Soccer League) and week days from 1:00 - 3:00pm (WLAC Soccer Class). In January, the track is closed week days from 12:00 - 5:00pm (WLAC Track & Feild practice)

College and community organizations using the field may close the gates earlier than the times stated above to prepare for their events. Additionally, the events may run over their time slots.

Please check back regulary for updates to the Athletics Field & Track schedule.

The track opens at 6:30am and closes at dark. Personal trainers who charge their clients must rent time on the track or any other athletic facility. Use of the turf field requires a permit.

Walkers and joggers are also welcome to use the perimeter of the campus and College Blvd which connect the campus to Jefferson.
If your dog is with you, please keep him/her on a leash and scoop the poop. Thanks.
