assembleCAMPUS SAFETY -
ABOUT EVACUATE & ASSEMBLE

When you hear fire alarms, Evacuate & Assemble is the right action unless otherwise instructed. In fact, Evacuate & Assemble is the instruction you will be given in most urgent or emergency situations on campus.

Faculty should lead their classes t o the closest Assembly Area -- Lots 1 & 2, Lot 5, Commencement Lawn, Football Field. Assist the disabled with evacuating if needed. If special assistance is needed, when you exit a building, notify an emergency responder or WLAC Area Supervisor that there is a disabled person who needs assistance in your building. Students and employees not in classrooms should also walk to an Assembly Area. Please assist any disabled colleagues and students and/or notify an emergency responder that help is needed.

Do not leave campus. Clear the way for any emergency vehicles. Go to the Assembly Areas and await further instructions. Also use your smart phone to check www.WLAC.edu for special instructions and/or to check for texts from the WLAC Alert Text system .. view more campus safety info
