PARTICIPATE IN THE OFRENDA

OfrendaThe Hispanic Heritage Committee invites you to take part in their Ofrenda at the Hispanic Heritage Celebration on October 31. The Ofrenda will be between CE and HLRC | Day of the Dead is a celebration in Mexico and many Latin American countries where the dead return to earth for 24-hours to be with their loved ones. Preparation includes cleaning and decorating tombs and assembling an Ofrenda. The Ofrenda is an alter that includes refreshments, personal items and various other things that welcome the souls back. Communities set up Ofrendas dedicated to various people, celebrities, important historical figures and societal issues.

If you'd like to participate in West's community Ofrenda, drop off a copy of a picture of a departed loved one.
