UCSD Field TripTRiO / SSS invites all students to sign up for a field trip to UC SAN DIEGO. The excursion is FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26 | 6:50AM - 4:00PM
Transporation will be provided. Tour the campus, learn about the programs, and meet with campus representatives. Limited number of spaces available. Sign up in the TRiO / SSS office in A4 in the north east corner of campus.

SEPTEMBER
SCHOLAR-ATHLETES OF THE MONTH

Athletes of the MonthCongratulations to Francisca Chamu and Arshaad Rahh. Francisca is a member of the Cross Country and Track & Field teams. She hold the college's record for the Steeplechase event and currently has a 3.27 GPA. She will graduate this Spring and transfer to a university. Her goal is to become a Criminal Forensic Psychologist.

Arshaad is also on the Track team. He is currently ranked as the number two runner on the West Men's Cross Country Team and is ranked 13th in the Southern CA Community College running polls. He boasts a 3.38 GPA and will graduate then transfer in June 2013. He is majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Information Systems.

Steve AggersFor a third year, Athletics Director Steve Aggers was invited to be a guest presenter at Pepperdine University for an Advanced Coaching Theory class. The professor for the class is Dr. Marv Dunphy who has numerous accolades including coaching teams that won Olympic medals and 4 NCAA Men's Volleyball titles.

Athletic Field  

ATHLETIC FIELD & TRACK CLOSURES
updated Dec.7, 2011

The Athletic Field & Track are closed to walker / joggers Sunday 9:00am - 4:00pm (Simon Bolivar Soccer League) and week days from 1:00 - 3:00pm (WLAC Soccer Class). In January, the track is closed week days from 12:00 - 5:00pm (WLAC Track & Feild practice)

College and community organizations using the field may close the gates earlier than the times stated above to prepare for their events. Additionally, the events may run over their time slots.

Please check back regulary for updates to the Athletics Field & Track schedule.

The track opens at 6:30am and closes at dark. Personal trainers who charge their clients must rent time on the track or any other athletic facility. Use of the turf field requires a permit.

Walkers and joggers are also welcome to use the perimeter of the campus and College Blvd which connect the campus to Jefferson.
If your dog is with you, please keep him/her on a leash and scoop the poop. Thanks.
