1ST & 3RD IN THE 4X400

AT STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

LADIES: The ladies of the West Track & Field team took 1st in the 4x400m relay and 2nd in the triple jump at the State Championship meet this past weekend. Other strong performances included a 5th place finish in the 4x100m relay and a 7th place finish in the long jump.

 

MEN: The men had two 3rd place finishes -- 400m hurdles and 4x400m relay. In the 400m, the men took 6th and 8th. In the 4x100 relay and the long jump, the men took 6th. Click for tor stats

DENTAL HYGIENE TAKES THE PRIZE 

Congratulations to our dental hygiene students who took 2nd place in the table clinic competition at the California Dental Hygienists Association on May 13.

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED ONE MORE TIME! ...On June 13 at 7:00pm at Culver City Hall, the Culver City Council will decide whether to continue the on-campus bus service as is for academic year 2011 - 2012 and beyond, or if further reductions or the elimination of the on-campus stop will be implemented. Please show your support for no further reductions and the retention of the on-campus stop by attending the June 13 Culver City Council meeting.  Please contact our Public Relations Office at LongCofM@wlac.edu if you plan to attend. Summer 2011 Bus Schedule: Tentatively, the summer on-campus bus schedule will be every 40 minutes, Monday - Thursday, 9:00am to 3:00pm. to serve students seeking Admissions Office and other student services. There will be no Friday - Saturday on-campus service. As West is offering no for-credit sessions this summer, the college does not object to this schedule.
