The West LA College men's cross country team finished fourth at the Mt. Sac 10 Team Invitational, on September 17. The Wildcats were part of a competitive field that also included district rival East LA College, on the famous Mt. Sac campus course.  Mt. Sac who is ranked #5 in the state placed first in the team competition, followed by Long Beach and Santiago Canyon

The men's team was led by sophomore Jose Gonzalez. He ran the 4-mile course in a time of 23:13, an improvement of more than a minute on his time from the season-ending Southern California Championships last season that was held on the same challenging course. Gonzalez's time was good for a 11th-place finish. The individual champion was Andres Zavala from the Mt. Sac with a time of 22:06.

The Wildcats' second-best finisher was freshman Anthony Riley who finished 19th place with a time of 24:00. Sophomore Miguel Ruiz and freshman Luis Aparicio finished next for the Wildcats and rounding out West LA's scoring was Isaac Gray.
