CONGRATULATIONS

Two Dental Hygiene Students Receive Scholarship From National Organization

West students Brandylee Trujillo and Corie Frontella received scholarships from the American Dental Hygiene Association (ADHA) Institute of Oral Health (IOH).

Trujillo was also the recipient of the 2007-2008 Colgate “Bright Smiles, Bright Futures” Minority Scholarship.

 

CONDOLENCES

David Rodriguez, former ASO Secretary died February 8 as the result of being an innocent bystander who was shot at a party. David was active in the community and the college including being part of the football team and the Transfer Honors program.

 

MONEY MATTERS

College-wide set aside: The $250,000 college-wide set-aside proposal has been approved. Hard copies are available for pick-up from Ashanti Lyles and Bryne Owen-Deatry in the Office of Instruction. A link will be posted on WLAC Faculty/Staff page under "Documents" by mid-week.

 

HELPING HANDS

West's MS Walk Team is hosting a fund raiser at Shakey's on Sepulveda and Playa on Monday, February 25 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm. Proceeds go to the MS Society to help fight multiple sclerosis.
