WLAC FOUNDATION AWARDS GRANTS TO
7 COLLEGE PROJECTS

Recently, the West Los Angeles College Foundation solicited college-wide for proposals to fund important college projects that might otherwise be difficult to fund. A total of $10,000 was allocated to 6 proposals listed below. Grants ranged from $300 to $3,300.

  • A Repository of Best Classroom Practices
  • Equipment for the Graphics Room (FA 304)
  • Seed Money for the New Theater Program
  • Dance Department Costumes & Props
  • CDC Outdoor Equipment & Supplies
  • The One Book Program

The Foundation has also funded the compilation of a History of West coffee table-style book expected to be completed this Spring...more details

Athletic Field  

ATHLETIC FIELD & TRACK CLOSURES
updated Dec.7, 2011

The Athletic Field & Track are closed to walker / joggers Sunday 9:00am - 4:00pm (Simon Bolivar Soccer League) and week days from 1:00 - 3:00pm (WLAC Soccer Class). In January, the track is closed week days from 12:00 - 5:00pm (WLAC Track & Feild practice)

College and community organizations using the field may close the gates earlier than the times stated above to prepare for their events. Additionally, the events may run over their time slots.

Please check back regulary for updates to the Athletics Field & Track schedule.

The track opens at 6:30am and closes at dark. Personal trainers who charge their clients must rent time on the track or any other athletic facility. Use of the turf field requires a permit.

Walkers and joggers are also welcome to use the perimeter of the campus and College Blvd which connect the campus to Jefferson.
If your dog is with you, please keep him/her on a leash and scoop the poop. Thanks.
