Prof OCallanghan

Memorial for Prof. O'Callaghan

Prof. O’Callaghan, a member of our Travel and Tourism faculty from 1974 to 2008, died peacefully at home on March. His daughter said, “Almost every single day he talked about his career at West LA College, he loved his students and his time as a faculty member.  Even in the last two weeks of his life, his role as a professor was on his mind and his love for his work at West LA was so evident.” Messages to the family can be directed to his daughter Dana at danaocallaghan@hotmail.com. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, May 12 at 2:00pm at Sr. Therese Church in Alhambra.

THIS YEAR'S SPEAKERS INCLUDE:

Chacko Sonny is a video game developer currently working as Production Developer for Blizzard Entertainment’s smash hit “Overwatch.” The video game boasts over 35 million players worldwide. Before joining Blizzard, Sonny worked on several extremely successful titles including “God of War: Ascension” and “Call of Duty.”

AD Diggs appeared on the reality television series Love & Hip-Hop - Hollywood. She hoped she could be a positive role model for young lesbians and use the show to empower others. Prior to appearing on the show, she created her own sneaker and clothing line known as DiggTheKicks.
