H1N1 FLU VIRUS (SWINE FLU) - WLAC RESPONSE

This page is designed to keep the campus community up to date on any actions being taken by the campus to prevent the spread of the H1N1 Virus on campus and/or to respond to the report of a ill student or West employee.

As advised by the Center for Disease Control and the Los Angeles Community College District administration, it is unlikely that the campus will close in the event of student or employee being diagnosed with the H1N1 Flu. Instead, the campus will promote healthy practices on campus.

Faculty/Students should be prepared to move into a distance learning format for class in the event that the instructor and/or a large number of students become ill.

PLEASE REPORT ANY SUSPECTED / CONFIRMED CASE OF H1N1 ILLNESS ON CAMPUS TO YOUR SUPERVISOR / INSTRUCTOR.

This information will be kept confidential but allow the campus administration to take appropriate next steps on campus should any be required.
