The Spring 2016 self-evaluation will be due before we know it. The goal this semester is to create and circulate a list for each standard indicating:

  • the evidence we have to show that we meet each of the 134 STANDARDS
  • the claims we think the evidence supports

Instructors are encouraged to use the Early Alert System to refer at-risk students to Counseling, Tutoring, Financial Aid, DSPS, Writing/Math/Reading Lab, and/or to meet with you. The Early Alert system is also useful in informing students that they have an issue with missing assignments and/or excessive absences...about the system

MEMORIAL - FRI, APR 17

A memorial for Dr. Don Culton will be held on Friday, April 17 in the WLAC's Fine Arts Theater. The gathering begins at 9:00am. Park in the S. Parking Structure. Please RSVP to Linda Thompson at ThompsLJ@WLAC.edu

Dr. Culton was a professor and Dean at Harbor College and retired as Director of International Education for the Los Angeles Community College District in 1998. He has been described as a pioneer of study abroad programs within the California Community Colleges system.

Athletic Field  

ATHLETIC FIELD & TRACK CLOSURES
updated Dec.7, 2011

The Athletic Field & Track are closed to walker / joggers Sunday 9:00am - 4:00pm (Simon Bolivar Soccer League) and week days from 1:00 - 3:00pm (WLAC Soccer Class). In January, the track is closed week days from 12:00 - 5:00pm (WLAC Track & Feild practice)

College and community organizations using the field may close the gates earlier than the times stated above to prepare for their events. Additionally, the events may run over their time slots.

Please check back regulary for updates to the Athletics Field & Track schedule.

The track opens at 6:30am and closes at dark. Personal trainers who charge their clients must rent time on the track or any other athletic facility. Use of the turf field requires a permit.

NAMED 2011 BEST PLACE TO WALK & JOG (Culver City News)
Walkers and joggers are also welcome to use the perimeter of the campus and College Blvd which connect the campus to Jefferson.
If your dog is with you, please keep him/her on a leash and scoop the poop. Thanks.
