How to Apply
Who May Apply?
- Anyone who is 18 years old or older
- Students who have earned a high school diploma
- Students under 18, who have not earned a high school diploma (see special instructions below)
- For U.S. Veterans
- For International Students
- For AB540 Students
- For High School & Middle School Students
NOTE: Neither California residency nor US Citizenship are required to apply.
How To Apply & Enroll in Classes
STEP 1: COMPLETE AN APPLICATION
High School Graduates & Persons 18 years and older
If you are not currently enrolled in WLAC, or have not registered for classes for two consecutive semesters (Fall and Spring), complete an Enrollment Application. This can be done in person at the Admissions Office in the Student Services Building (SSB) 2nd Floor, or link to APPLY ONLINE .
If you opt to submit a paper application form, return it to the Admissions Office (SSB 2nd Floor), or mail it to the address below. You will then receive an appointment to register for classes. Be sure to bring a photo ID.
The Expressway run through the Student Success & Support Program (formerly Matriculation) now coordinates these important steps that get you moving towards your goal.

Register ONLINE. Computers are available in the Admissions Center or elsewhere on campus.
This is the best time to sign-up for any special programs, including EOP&S or the Scholars Program. Also, visit the University Transfer Center - SSB 3rd Floor.
Attention High School Students: Please register at the Office of School Relations & Outreach to ensure you enroll in the right classes to meet your educational needs.
Can't Enroll in the Class You Want?
If the class you want is full, try these options:
Option #1: Check the searchable online class schedule for other sections that have not reached the maximum seat level. Additional sections do get added after the published schedule goes to print.
Option #2: Go to the class you want. If spaces have become available, the instructor can give you an ADD PERMIT.
