Graduation Petition Process
 

Step 1
Students who anticipate graduation must complete a Graduation Packet, by either completing the graduation forms yourself, or completing the forms with the assistance of a Counselor.   

Step 2
To ensure you are eligible for graduation, please check if the following items are in progress or have been completed:
____ 12 units of residency completed at West
____ At minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average
____ A “C” or better in English 28 and Math 115
____ 60 units   

Step 3
Make sure that official transcripts from all colleges/universities that you have attended are on file in the Office of Admissions and Records.  Official transcripts must be mailed directly from the institution to West.  Ordering of Los Angeles Community College District transcripts is not required.   

Step 4
All courses taken at other schools outside of the Los Angeles Community College District must be evaluated by either a Counselor or submitting the attached Transcript Evaluation Petition to the Office of Admissions and Records.   

Step 5
Submit the completed Graduation Packet to the Office of Admissions and Records in order to receive a Graduation Petition.  See class schedule for Graduation Petition filing periods
