  • MANDATORY COVID-19 SAFETY TRAINING (excerpt from 7/1/21 District-wide email from William Boyer) All LACCD employees must complete the state-mandated COVID-19 prevention training...This training must be completed by August 1, 2021. LACCD faculty (only) have until September 30, 2021 to complete it. A separate message will be sent to students regarding their training requirements. Please note that even if you have completed other COVID-19 training, you must complete this one as well. The training takes about 60 minutes to complete. You can complete the training during your regular work schedule.
  • MASK UPDATE 7/1/21 (excerpt from 7/1/21 District-wide email from  Brittany Grice): “All employees, students and visitors must continue to wear mask/facial coverings indoors until further notice, regardless of vaccination status . . . until a new process is implemented, you must continue to wear masks indoors, except for:
    • Persons sitting alone in a private office or workspace where a door can be closed
    • Persons eating/drinking in a common area and sitting more than six (6) feet apart
    • Persons with a medical condition, including mental health or disability, that prevents wearing a mask, and persons who are hearing impaired, or communicating with a person who is hearing impaired, where the ability to see the mouth is essential for communication.”
Any employee, student or visitor seeking an exemption due to their medical condition to the District’s current requirement that a face-mask or covering be worn indoors must make a request for reasonable accommodation using the appropriate District processes.
Employees shall submit their requests to the campus or site ADA Coordinator using the procedure proscribed in the District’s Administrative Regulation B-32. Under present circumstances, note that no mask exemption request will be informally approved; formal written approval must be obtained under B-32. For supervisors: All supervisors receiving requests directly from an employee shall forward the request directly to the site ADA Coordinator for further review and evaluation. Supervisors shall not determine independently whether a request for exemption will be granted.
